Registering Child DNS Server

Child DNS servers are name servers which are registered under a domain name, and this domain name is called a parent for such DNS server.

  • In case of domain delegation (e.g. domen.com) with child DNS servers, which name contains the domain name to be delegated (e.g. ns1.domen.com, ns2.domen.com, etc.), their IP addresses should be specified. Therefore, such DNS servers will be automatically registered as child DNS servers in the Registry.
  • DNS server name is required to be registered at the Registry. It occurs in the course of domain delegation with child DNS servers or as a result of implementation of the "Registering Child DNS Server" procedure on the parent domain page in your personal account in the "Active Services" → Domains" section.
  • If you specify for the child DNS server, already registered at the Registry, IP address other than that with which this DNS server had been previously registered, IP address of this DNS server will be modified accordingly.
  • Child DNS server may be registered in the TLD Registry only by the registrant of the parent second-level domain.
