The renewal of the SSL certificate issued through Rucenter is available 30 days before the expiration date of the certificate. SSL Certificate Renewal Rates
By default, all certificates have auto-renewal mode enabled, which allows you not to miss the renewal of the service and maintain the protection of your site. Debiting funds for the renewal of the certificate has the highest priority over debiting funds for other services. If you do not want the certificate to be renewed automatically, you can disable the auto-renewal mode for certificates in your personal account.
If auto-renewal of the SSL certificate is enabled, funds are blocked (reserved) on the personal account of the agreement 14 days before the expiration date. After which:
- for DV certificates: if the funds for renewal are blocked, the renewal order is automatically sent to the Certification Center. The certificate is renewed automatically without any additional actions on your part.
- for OV and EV certificates: from the moment the funds are blocked within 30 calendar days, you need to verify the data that will be sent to the Certification Center to renew the certificate.
To verify the data before sending it to the Certification Center for OV and EV certificates:
1. Log in to your personal account, specifying the contract number and password.
2. Select Operations → Renew services section in the menu.
3. Go to the Security Certificates tab and select the required service.
4. On the page that opens, confirm the extension of the service by clicking the Renew button. The funds in the account of the agreement will be blocked. You will need to verify the details before sending the renewal order to the Certification Center.
5. In the SSL Certificates section, click Options. 6. Check the data. If they have not changed, click Continue. If the data has changed, click the Change Contact Details link.
7. Enter the new data. Click Use this data.
8. A request for CSR generation will appear on the page that opens, if this method was selected at the configuration stage. Save the private key to your computer.
Be sure to save the private key, as it is impossible to install the certificate on the web server without it. If the private key is lost, you will need to reissue the certificate.
9. Select the address to which the email will be sent to confirm ownership of the domain.
10. The certificate renewal order will be sent to the Certification Center for verification and further issuance of the certificate.
