Whois is often used to check the availability of domains that may be of interest in the secondary market. The service shows the domain registration period, which is important for planning its possible interception in case of non-renewal. Information about queries regarding a domain name in whois will allow you to monitor interest from third parties and may be evidence of the value of your domain in the secondary market. With the monitoring option enabled, you will receive a monthly report on domain checks in RU-CENTER’s Whois service.
The report is sent to the contact email address specified in the agreement settings.
To enable the option:
1. Go to “Manage your account → My domains” section.
2. Select a domain with Maximum security level enabled.
3. Go to “Security” tab.
4. Select the “Monitoring Whois queries” option and click “Enable”.
To disable this option, on the domain page, click “Disable” in “Monitoring Whois queries” in the “Security” tab.
