Registration of Released Domains in .ru, .рф, .su and Third-Level Domains

The released domains registration service is designed to help Rucenter customers register a domain name on the day it is released. Rucenter performs the following actions:

  • accepts orders for the registration of a released domain name;
  • monitors the release date of the domain name;
  • if the domain name is released, carries out its registration procedure in the Registry. The domain name is registered in the customer’s name.

The service is provided in accordance with:

How to register a released domain

Starting from the first day of the domain name’s priority renewal period, but no later than 4:45 p.m. MSK on the day the domain is deleted from the Registry, you may place an order for the registration of a released domain. To do this:

1. Complete the application form if you are not yet a Rucenter customer. If the account is under management, the order may be placed by the holder of the managing contract.
2. Create an order for the registration of a released domain using any of the following methods:

3. Top up your balance in the amount corresponding to the selected price plan no later than the expiration of that price plan. An order may be placed under any price plan available at the current time.
If there is already a paid order for the domain, only higher-priced price plans remain available.



On the day the domain is deleted, pricing tiers become unavailable sequentially. For example, for domains released on 24 February 2026 and later:

  • A price plan of $ 57, 142.86 becomes unavailable after 12:30 p.m. (MSK);
  • A price plan of $ 57.14 becomes unavailable after 4:00 p.m. (MSK);
  • A price plan of $ 7 remains available until 4:45 p.m. (MSK) on the day the domain is deleted from the Registry.

To execute the order, the required funds must be allocated no later than the expiration time of the selected price plan Orders placed under price plans with a later validity period are canceled, and the allocated funds are released.

Lists of released .RU and .РФ domains are available on the website of the Coordination Center for TLD RU/.РФ at:
https://cctld.ru/service/dellist/ According to the Registry rules, the number of domains deleted per day in the .RU zone is 15,000, in the .РФ zone the number of domains deleted per day is 10,000. Domains that are not included in the current day's list are included in the next day's list. More detailed information is available on the website of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ (https://cctld.ru/).

The release of domain names in the .RU and .РФ domains and their subsequent registration begins daily at 5:00 p.m. MSK and continues until 6:00 p.m. MSK, except on weekends, public holidays, and the first business day following a weekend or public holiday.

A request for registration of a released domain name is generated and submitted to the Registry if the domain name is released and there is an order ready for execution.

Rucenter does not guarantee provision of the service in the following cases:

  • If, at the time of registration in the Registry, the application was not the first among applications submitted by other registrars for the same domain;
  • If the registration term of the released domain name was renewed by its administrator;
  • If the domain name is included in a stop list;
  • If the domain name is the subject of a court dispute (litigation).


If the domain is renewed by the current registrant

If, before the end of the renewal grace period, the current registrant renews the domain, the domain backorder service is considered not rendered. Funds allocated in the personal account to pay for the service will be released and may be used to pay for other services.
 

If the domain could not be registered

If, as a result of the service provision, the domain is not registered in the customer’s name, the service is considered not rendered. Funds allocated in the personal account to pay for the service will be released and may be used to pay for other services.
 

How to cancel an order

An order for the registration of a released domain for which funds have not been allocated may be deleted in any of the following ways:

  • on the website https://www.nic.ru/en/auction/— under My Auctions → Registration of Released Domains .RU, .РФ, .SU and Third-Level Domains → Orders Not Ready for Execution;
  • on the website www.nic.ru — in the profile under Orders → Processing queue.

For customers managed by Partners, the order may be deleted by the Partner.
