From March 14, 2026, the validity period of a GlobalSign SSL certificate will be 199 days (in accordance with international CA/Browser Forum standards). Therefore, the SSL certificate issuance service includes:
Payment for the SSL certificate issuance service is made at the time of placing the order. Cancellation of the service after the order has been created is not possible.
Issuance of the first certificate begins immediately after payment for the service.
Issuance of the second certificate begins 30 days before the first certificate expires. These conditions apply to all types of GlobalSign certificates, unless otherwise specified in the agreement.
The procedure for issuing the first certificate remains unchanged. More about SSL certificate issuance.
The system will automatically initiate issuance of the second certificate 30 days before the first certificate expires. Further actions depend on where your domain is hosted and which hosting service you use.
1. The domain is delegated to Rucenter DNS and used on Rucenter hosting
The order is created automatically, and the new certificate is installed on the server without any action required from the client. After the process is completed, you will receive a notification about the successful certificate replacement at the contact email address specified in the agreement.
2. The domain is delegated to Rucenter DNS and used on a VDS, dedicated server, or hosting with a third-party provider
The certificate is issued automatically. The certificate must be installed on the server by the client independently.
A notification about the successful issuance will be sent to the contact email address specified in the agreement. The certificate files will be available in the profile under:
Active Services → Security Certificates → Your Certificate.
3. The domain is delegated to a third-party DNS provider and used on Rucenter hosting
The order is created automatically, but domain control verification is required to issue the certificate (via email or DNS validation). After the verification is completed, the new certificate will be installed on the server without client participation.
30 days before the first certificate expires, an email with instructions for domain verification will be sent to the contact email address specified in the agreement. The domain verification procedure (for example, adding a TXT record with your DNS provider) must be completed within 30 days of receiving the email.
After verification, the certificate is signed by the certification authority and automatically installed on the hosting.
4. The domain is delegated to a third-party DNS provider and used on a VDS, dedicated server, or hosting with a third-party provider
The order is created automatically, but domain control verification is required to issue the certificate. After verification, the new certificate must be installed independently by the client.
30 days before the first certificate expires, an email with instructions for domain verification will be sent to the contact email address specified in the agreement. The domain verification procedure (for example, adding a TXT record with your DNS provider) must be completed within 30 days of receiving the email.
A notification about the successful issuance will be sent to the contact email address. The certificate files will be available in the profile under: Active Services → Security Certificates → Your Certificate.
If the domain is not verified before the 199-day validity period of the first certificate expires, the certificate will stop working. The second certificate will not be issued, and no refund for the service will be provided.
