What is an IPMI module?

IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) is an interface for remote management and monitoring of dedicated server parameters. The IPMI module allows you to:

• manage the dedicated server's power (power on, power off, reboot);
• access the graphical console;
• remotely connect storage media to the server.

The IPMI interface is accessed via the HTTPS protocol using a browser or the SMCIPMITool utility.
