How to migrate a website to a new domain in the hosting control panel
This guide will help you migrate a website from one domain to another within a single hosting service.

To migrate the website example.com to a new domain example.ru, follow these steps:
- Log in to the hosting control panel.
- In the Websites (Сайты) section, create a website with the new domain name example.ru. The new domain must be pointed to the hosting.
- Then, in the File Manager (Файловый менеджер) section, open the folder named after the old domain example.com, select and copy the docs folder containing the website files.
- Go to the folder named after the new website example.ru, delete the existing docs folder, and click Paste (Вставить). The website files will be copied. The detailed procedure is described in the File Manager instructions. If your hosting plan does not have enough disk space to create a copy of the website, use the Cut (Вырезать) function to move the files.
- Check that the website works correctly on the new domain. For some CMSs, you may need to change file system paths in the website configuration files and settings related to the site name in the website’s administrative panel.
- After verification, you can enable redirection of requests from the old website to the new one, or delete the old website example.com and its files from the hosting.
