Website Access Logs

Log files on the hosting platform are stored in the /var/log directory:

  • /var/log/nginx/site_name.access_log — website access log
  • /var/log/httpd/site_name.error_log — website error log
  • error_log — web server error log
  • files with the .gz extension — logs from previous days (compressed)

The /var/log/ directory is accessible via the File Manager in the hosting control panel.

To open it in the File Manager, you need to go up two levels using the arrow in the toolbar. You will then be in the server root directory /, where the var folder is located.

Via FTP, the server root directory can be made accessible if, in the hosting control panel under FTP & SSH → FTP User, you change the Home directory parameter from /home/login to /.

If you have deleted the hosting web server log files, you must restart the web server in the Web Server Management section of the hosting control panel for disk space usage to be calculated correctly.
