.su domain transfer to Rucenter with ownership right transfer

The service of transferring a .su domain to Rucenter with ownership right transfer is free of charge.

  1. If the receiving party does not have an agreement with Rucenter, it must  fill out a form to conclude such an agreement.
  2. The transferring party must notify the current Registrar about the domain transfer to Rucenter.
    The current Registrar must specify the name of the new Registrar — JSC “RU-CENTER” and the RUCENTER-SU identifier for .su domains.
  3. The transferring party must follow the instructions for transferring rights to the domain.  
  4. A letter with a notification about the domain transfer will be sent to the contact e-mail of the receiving party.

To transfer a domain together with ownership right:

  1. If the receiving party does not have an agreement with Rucenter, it must fill out a form to conclude an agreement.
  2. The receiving party must make and pay for the domain transfer order to Rucenter. An email with a link to confirm the domain transfer will be sent to the email address of the administrative contact specified for the domain at the current Registrar, provided that this email address is available in the Whois service. You must give consent within 5 days by entering the registry authorization code.

The Change Registrar service for .com, .net, .org and other domains is a paid service. As a result of the domain transfer, its registration period is renewed for one year.

Please note:
If the delegation of a gTLD, foreign ccTLD, or New gTLD was terminated due to the expiration of the registration term, and then the registration term was renewed, it is recommended to initiate a registrar change no later than 45 days after the renewal. Otherwise, the year added to the registration term during the renewal by the previous registrar may be cancelled by the Registry, and after the registrar change procedure, the total domain registration term will be increased by only one year, not two.

Registrar change procedure cannot be performed in any of the following cases:
  • 60 days have not passed from the date of registration or change of the Registrar;
  • 60 days have not passed since the last registrar change;
  • 60 days have not passed since the transfer of domain ownership or change of e-mail address of the registrant;
  • the domain is locked by the registry or current registrar.
