How to migrate email using an email client

To migrate email to Rucenter hosting, you will need an email client, such as Thunderbird.

You can download and install the client from the official website.

Adding a mailbox to your email client

Launch Thunderbird. On the main page, under "Choose what to configure," click Email:



Enter your name, email address, and password, then click Continue. Your email client may automatically detect your email provider's server settings; if not, enter them manually:



Click Finish. If everything was done correctly, your mailbox will be added to your email client.

Add it to Thunderbird by repeating all the steps described previously.

During the server setup phase, use the Configure manually button and specify mail.nic.ru as your outgoing and incoming mail server:



Click Finish. If everything was done correctly, your mailbox, created on RuCenter hosting, will be added to your email client.
 

Migrating Mail

Go to the main page of your email client and open the mailbox folders where you would like to move emails. Create a folder in this mailbox:



Next, go to the mailbox and folder from which you would like to copy emails, and select all the emails by pressing Ctrl+A on your keyboard.



Right-click the selected emails and select Copy to Folder - Desired Mailbox - Created Folder:



Once you complete this step, all the selected emails will appear in the new mailbox in the desired folder.

You can also copy emails to specific mailboxes or any other mailboxes.
