Setting up popular email programs:
1. Open Outlook.
2. Enter your email address. In the Advanced settings (Дополнительные параметры) tab, select Manually configure my account (Настроить учетную запись вручную) and click Connect (Подключить):

5. Adjust the account settings:

4. In this window, select the mail protocol that best suits your needs:
Specify mail.nic.ru as the server for incoming and outgoing mail.
Select the TLS/SSL encryption type.
Check the box next to "My SMTP server requires authorization (Мой сервер SMTP требует авторизации)."
Click Next (Далее).

5. Next, enter the full email address of your mailbox, for example: mail@example.com, and the password for the mailbox. Click Next (Далее).

6. If all the information is entered correctly, you'll be taken to the final screen of the Create new user account process (Создание нового почтового ящика). You’ll be prompted to review the remaining mailbox properties. Select Yes (Да) and click Finish (Готово).

7. In the mailbox properties window that opens, go to the Transport (Транспорт) section. If your internet service provider blocks any ports, you can use alternative ones in the Transport tab.

In the Hostname field, enter mail.nic.ru as the incoming and outgoing mail server.
In the Username field, enter the full name of your mailbox.

5. If you select IMAP, in the final window you can choose which data to sync in your mailbox. In addition to email, you can sync notes.

To start using email, launch the Mail app.
1. Launch the Email app. In the first setup window, enter the full name of your email account and its password.

After entering all the settings, click the Login button.
