Installing an Operating System on VDS

Automatic Installation

The operating system can be selected at the time of ordering the service. The installation is performed automatically, and the server access credentials are sent to your contact email.

You can reinstall or install Linux/FreeBSD at any time via the control panel. To do this:

1. In the VDS parameters screen, under Installed OS, click Reinstall.
2. Select the required OS image in the Automatic Installation tab.
 

Installation from Snapshot

In the Snapshot Management section, you can install an OS from a VDS snapshot.
You can install a snapshot created from a service with the same or a lower plan within the same contract.
 

Manual Installation

Experienced users can order a VDS without an operating system and install it manually. To do this:

1. In the VDS parameters screen, under Installed OS, click Reinstall.
2. Select the required OS image in the Manual Installation tab.

Hyper-V

The operating system can be selected at the time of ordering the service. The installation is performed automatically, and the server access credentials are sent to your contact email.

You can reinstall or install Windows at any time via the control panel. To do this:

1. In the Snapshots tab, under OS Reinstallation, select the OS image.
2. Click Reinstall OS.

Experienced users can order a VDS without an operating system and install it manually. This option is available in the DVD tab of the service control panel.
